Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering can be rewarding, challenging and an ideal means of gaining experience in different areas.

• Do you have any spare time?
• Do you need to add to your CV?
• Do you want to learn new skills?
• Do you have skills or expertise that need updating?
• Would you like to use your skills to help others?

We value the hard work, effort and dedication that our volunteers bring to the Centre and are very fortunate to have a group of volunteers that support us on a weekly basis. Friends of the Black Mountain Centre participate in a number of Centre activities including our weekly luncheon club!

We have recently been joined by volunteers Susan Preston, Craig Jones and Simon Davies. Susan is volunteering under the Workways programme and Simon is with us on a thirteen week placement from Antur Teifi Trac. We work in partnership with a number of organisations to provide individuals with volunteering experience that can lead to future employment opportunities.

The development team will be setting up a time banking system in the near future. If you have specialist skills e.g crochet, gardening, sewing,

multi-media, photography, please register them within the Centre.

Alternatively, if you would like to volunteer within our cafe, please contact Siân Tucker or a member of staff at the reception area.

Remember whatever your skills or interests we need you as a volunteer!
